On the road to success

In the textile-clothing-accessories sectors, the intergenerational transmission of SMEs created in the last century is often delicate: 30% of these SMEs survive after one generation and only 10% after a second. WINTEX

Modern machines and training

Over the past few weeks, the WINTEX project has made rapid progress on some of its objectives regarding capacity building in Tunisia. Currently, all the equipment of the Textile Innovation center of the University of Sfax is already installed at the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts. In addition, all planned training sessions are also successfully carried out taking into account the strategic direction in terms of textile development of the center based on textile digitalization and clothing design. It is important to emphasize that this center will weave a direct link of contact between individuals (center staff, designers, researchers, executives and technicians of Tunisian textile companies) in order to boost cooperation and collaboration to make innovation flourish in the sector.
