SHEMAKES

OUR PROJECTS

CEDECS-TCBL SAS is the main partner of the shemakes.eu project, which started on January 1, 2021.

shemakes.eu is about developing ecosystems of opportunity to bridge the gender gap.

Closing the gender gap, in its maturity phase, means moving from collaboration in science sectors to innovation in business sectors. Shemakes.eu combines the approaches of two major innovation ecosystems - Fabricademy (https://textile-academy.org/) and TCBL (https://tcbl.eu/) - within the textile and clothing sector. clothing and acts to promote, highlight and celebrate the leading role of women in innovation, with the aim of continuously reshaping the opportunity structures of at least 16 European Member States and associated countries.

To achieve this objective, shemakes.eu is developing an integrated innovation ecosystem promoting gender parity along three strategic axes:

• The learning paths, modeled on the Fabricademy programs, involve innovative girls and women from three age groups.

• Innovation services, based on the TCBL Lab Service model, engage local communities and businesses in collaborative innovation activities, carry out networked multi-Lab innovation projects and validate new business concepts.

• Reputation management promotes different types of role models within the girls' and women's community who are leading the way in transforming the sector.

These activities are accompanied by four transversal WPs - Ecosystem of Opportunities, Impact Assessment and Analysis, Communication and Dissemination, and Project Management - which ensure their consistency in working towards general objectives.

Shemakes.eu is a two-year initiative with a consortium of 10 partners in 7 countries, led by CEDECS-TCBL SAS, the TCBL network service company. Its activities range from an initial set of 6 main laboratories to incorporate 12 “transfer” laboratories in a second phase of implementation. Sustainability is ensured by the incorporation of the new learning and service modules into the two pre-existing networks of the Fabricademy and the TCBL, with diffuse adoption of shemakes.eu results, leading to impact towards improved roles and better opportunities for women in traditional economic sectors.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101006203.
