OURPROJECTS
CIRCUFASH (Circular Urban Fashion: Europe’s Inclusive Renaissance) is a 2-year Erasmus+ project that aims to transform local textile value chains by implementing Urban Fashion Labs as hubs for circular micro-production, upcycling, and citizen engagement across France, Greece, Romania, and the Netherlands.
The project will allow to
- Offer accessible training for vulnerable groups (women survivors, migrants, unemployed youth).
- Set up Urban Labs to demonstrate zero-waste clothing production.
- Use e-learning and citizen-science tools to spur local engagement and map textile waste.
The CIRCUFash European partnership brings together five specialized entities combining fashion education, innovation management, and social activism across four countries. The academic foundation is driven by the project lead Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) in the Netherlands. Management and innovation expertise are provided by Cedecs–TCBL. Advocacy and systemic change are led by Fashion Revolution France. The consortium is strengthened by the Social Fashion Factory (SOFFA) in Greece, an eco-sustainable studio offering vocational training and work integration to refugees and women who have survived human trafficking or violence. Finally, higher education and regional collaboration are anchored by the "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu (ULBS) in Romania.
